Beth Shalom Religious School – A Perfect Fit!

Beth Shalom Synagogue’s Religious Education Department serves the varying needs of our synagogue children and their families. The Beth Shalom Religious School curriculum is built on the premise that children and families require continuous Jewish learning and motivating environments. During the child’s early years, we lay the groundwork with the building blocks of Jewish education. Torah, Jewish traditions, holidays, prayers, identity, values, the environment, culture, language, and history are all a part of a solid foundation for the future. As the student grows in our program, we build on those basics, with advanced and broadened subject matter, continuing to reinforce and review key elements of our religion and heritage. Our Religious School staff, led by our Education Director, Risa Strauss, and Rabbi Jonathan Case, consists of educated volunteers from our congregation, as well as Jewish students attending the colleges and universities in our community. Each brings his/her own area of expertise and understanding of Judaism to our program. From preschool to college, we are committed to providing our children and families with multifaceted learning opportunities and instilling a love for Jewish life, learning and values.
