Tuesdays with Friends – Senior Program

Tuesdays with Friends is a monthly senior social open to the community held at Beth Shalom Synagogue.

Tuesdays With Friends continues to partner with the Beth Shalom Religious School delivering holiday gift baskets to seniors several times throughout the year. Please let the office know if you, your parent or grandparent would like to be on our list.

As the saying goes, chicken soup is the best medicine. If you are not feeling well or recuperating, let us know. Our Tuesdays With Friends “Soup to Go Pantry” is now open.

If you are interested in being a volunteer with any of these Tuesdays With Friends programs, please contact Minda Miller, Risa or the office staff. It takes a village and there are many ways to make a difference.

Our mission is to provide a friendly and welcoming environment where seniors, both independent, and those from assisted living facilities, can socialize, enjoy a dessert reception, and be entertained. Various performers including singers, musicians, bands, dancers and magicians entertain the crowd each month. Jewish and non-Jewish seniors benefit from an afternoon visiting with friends and meeting new people.  A CNA is present to assist anyone needing a little extra help. Transportation is offered upon request, when possible.

All our programs and projects are complimentary to Jewish seniors. We are funded by the Carolina Foundation for Jewish Seniors, event sponsors, private donations, Publix, Trader Joe’s and Food Lion. Come join the fun!
